SUMMARY
Operate secondary machinery by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Pay is $17-18 per/hour
Follow work instruction given by secondary set-up group leader.
Positions and secures workpiece in holding device, machine table, chuck, centers, or fixtures.
Sets up fixture or feeding device, starts machine, and turns handwheel to feed tool to workpiece or vice versa, and engages feed with supervision.
Observes operation of machine and verifies conformance of machined part to FMS print specifications using gauge pins, calipers, micrometers, and other applicable precision measuring equipment.
Assists in sorting lots of production that require corrective action
Complete timecard and other required production documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
Maintain proper care of tools and equipment. Report unsafe equipment and maintenance needs to the group leader.
Maintain work area in a neat and orderly manner.
Practice safe machining and work practices at all times.
Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalency. Machine trade school courses a plus.
